The Possible Solutions

If you love The Beatles, Jimmy Buffett, the Eagles and Tom Petty, we think you'll enjoy our band.

We are a classic rock band based in the South Puget Sound and are available for hire to play at private parties, company functions, community events and festivals and more. We also donate a portion of our band's gig money to United Way of Pierce County and occasionally donate our service to help raise money for other worthwhile causes in our community.

Here a short video clip of our band (“Back in the USSR”) at a gig we did last summer on Foss Waterway.

2020: A look ahead

Our New Year's resolution is: "Play more gigs in 2020!"  and so far, it looks like we're going to keep that resolution.

We kicked off 2020 with a February gig at the Eagles Club in Olympia to support the Fences for Fido effort. We had a great time and the Eagles have asked us back for another gig later this spring.

Here are a few other gigs our band has set for 2020:

Saturday, May 2: The Emergency Food Network's Hunger Walk at Fort Steilacoom Park. We'll be setting up around 6:30 a.m. and rockin' in the early morning hours to get folks ready to run and walk at this fun fundraising event.

Port Night at the Swiss: This event was originally set for April 1 (no foolin') but is being postponed due to the current health concerns around Coronavirus and COVID-19.  This event is a fundraiser for the Port of Tacoma's United Way of Pierce County workplace campaign. We'll work to find another date and keep you posted about it.

Sunday, Aug. 16: The Thea Foss Waterway Summer Concert Series. We're excited to be part of this great free summer concert series again this year. The venue is awesome--the Waterfront Amphitheater (1810 Dock Street) near the Museum of Glass in downtown Tacoma.

We also have a few other possible gigs in the works.

So if you'd like to add some classic rock music to an upcoming event you're having, please contact Rod Koon.

2019: A look back

In 2019, our full Possible Solutions band had a great time playing for a community party on Day Island and on Tacoma’s Foss Waterway for the Free Summer Concert Series put on by the Friends of the Foss.

Our "Band subset--Acoustic light"--Rod Koon & Friends--has also played at the Proctor Farmer Market, the Tacoma Lawn Tennis Club during the Pacific Northwest Tennis Championships and many private events.

Photos, anyone?

If you have a great photo of our band in action that you'd like to share, please send it to: rkletitbe@msn.com

Thanks!

We'll have to do some Three Dog Night tunes at this gig--all for a worthy cause!
